We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them - Albert Einstein

Welcome!

Welcome to my page. This is my blog and place to share stories, guides and/or random pieces of information for everyone to access. Expect to read some tech and some non-tech, some relevant and some not so relevant pieces of information.

I lead the Cloud Platforms team at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, with over 15+ years enterprise IT experience. With deep expertise in IT operations and a passion for emerging technologies, this allows me to work closely with projects to achieve successful outcomes. I have been at the coalface of the development of the Bank's evaluation, implementation and adoption of key cloud technologies. A subscriber to the Design Thinking methodology, I’ve always enjoyed IT as a way to solve problems for people, by using Technology.

A background in Infrastructure and Architecture, my current responsibilities include driving the Bank’s cloud adoption, as well as the implementation and management of our enterprise cloud landing zones . Providing the bank with access to highly secure, robust and automated landing zones on both AWS and GCP, the team and I pride ourselves on making heavily automated, consumable and repeatable cloud patterns. As important as anything is making sure that work is fun, flexible and empowering!

Outside of work, there are 3 special ladies in my life. My Wife Tammy and daughters Matilda (9 yrs) & Stevie (5 yr). We operate a fairly standard Australian household, brick house, couple of vehicles and a dog. Very similar to 'The Castle' but with no pool room, or fake Chimney.
I support Collingwood, love cricket & enjoy hunting and fishing. When i cant be doing those things i think its important to spend time with friends and family. I love to cook (& eat), drink and play devils advocate.
